King's Choir heads new BBC Easter schedule

The Choir of King's College in Cambridge plays a key part in the new Easter schedule from BBC TV. BBC would broadcast “Easter at King’s” in hopes that the live Easter choral ceremony would attract as many viewers as Christmas Eve’s “Carols from King’s” which was viewed by over two million people. BBC Radio would also feature concerts from King’s College over the Easter period, with one concert on 2 April and the other on 6 April.

The new BBC schedule was a response to criticism of the previous Easter’s schedule, to which church leaders responded with claims that there was not enough religious content. In addition to the broadcasts from King’s College, the new schedule was set to include two religious documentaries.
