King's choral scholar wins music prize

Matthew Sandy & Ben-San LauKing's student Matthew Sandy has won first prize in the Sir Anthony Lewis Memorial Prize Competition. Matthew (pictured, left, with Ben-San Lau) is a second year music student and choral scholar, and he won the prize for his singing. Junior organ scholar Ben-San Lau, who was playing for Matthew, won the accompanist's prize,

The Sir Anthony Lewis Memorial Prize Competition is a music competition held every two years. This year it was held on 8 April in the David Josefowitz Recital Hall at the Royal Academy of Music, London. The judges were Catherine Bott, Professor Peter Holman, Dr H. Diack Johnstone, and Professor John Morehen.
